The Pakistani Navy announced in a post on the “X” site that the “Timur” cruise missile was developed locally and underwent live launch tests that demonstrated accuracy in hitting targets and operational readiness over a long range, reflecting the development of its precision strike capabilities.

It added that the test confirmed the forces’ ability to detect, track, target, and neutralize hostile maritime threats, enhancing its multi-dimensional capabilities.

Last March, U.S. Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard claimed that Pakistani capabilities pose a significant threat to the United States. Pakistan responded by rejecting these allegations, affirming that its strategic capabilities are purely defensive and aim to protect its national sovereignty and maintain peace and stability in South Asia.
