The prisoner said in statements to ‘Sputnik’: “One remained, and two fled from the training center. They were captured after two days.” He added, “Once they were brought back, they were not allowed to complete the training but were immediately sent to the frontline. No one cares about investigating or knowing what happened; they throw you directly onto the front.” It is noted that martial law and general mobilization have been imposed in Ukraine since February 2022 and have been continuously extended since then. During the conflict, videos documenting forced recruitment by Ukrainian military offices have emerged, showing men being taken from the streets and forced into service, with some recruitment officers seen beating them.
