Progress in US-China Trade Talks

Trump told reporters commenting on the progress of trade talks between the United States and China: “We are making progress with China. I think things are going well. I believe we will get a very fair deal with China.”

In response to American actions, China imposed new restrictions on the export of rare earth elements, which are the main source of global supply for these vital materials.

The British capital, London, witnessed discussions on June 10 and 11, in which the Chinese side was represented by Vice Premier for Economic Affairs, He Lifeng, and the American side by Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick and Treasury Secretary Scott Besant, aiming to reach a comprehensive agreement to end trade tensions between the two parties.
