Yuri Ushakov, the Russian President’s aide, confirmed on Tuesday that a telephone conversation took place between the two presidents: Russian President Vladimir Putin and U.S. President Donald Trump.
He added that in addition, the support for direct negotiations between the Russian and Ukrainian delegations was discussed.
He mentioned that the leaders discussed the idea of considering the possibility of raising the level of representatives from Moscow and Kyiv in the negotiations.
The Russian President also warmly thanked the American leader for the hospitality during the meeting in Alaska, as reported by Yuri Ushakov, the Russian President’s aide.
