The Qatari news agency ‘QNA’ reported that Al-Ansari stated the summit will discuss a draft resolution regarding the Israeli attack on Qatar, presented by the preparatory meeting of the foreign ministers of Arab and Islamic countries, which will be held tomorrow, Sunday. The Qatari official noted that the convening of the Arab-Islamic summit at this time has several implications and reflects the wide Arab and Islamic solidarity with Qatar in facing the Israeli aggression, which he described as ‘cowardly’ and targeted residential locations of several Hamas leaders.
It is worth mentioning that Qatar will host an emergency Arab-Islamic summit on the upcoming Sunday and Monday, the 14th and 15th of September, to discuss the Israeli attack on its territories. Last Thursday, the Qatari news agency indicated that it learned from an official Qatari source that the summit will examine the repercussions of the attack on Qatar last Tuesday.
Arab and Islamic countries announced their full solidarity with Qatar following the Israeli attack, which targeted Palestinian Hamas officials in Doha. Qatar confirmed its right to respond to the aggression, which resulted in the death of a Qatari security member. Meanwhile, Hamas announced in a statement that its negotiation delegation, led by its leader in Gaza, Khalil al-Hayya, survived an assassination attempt, while his office director Jihad Labid, his son Hamam al-Hayya, and three other escorts were killed.
