The ministry said in a statement: “Last night, air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 77 Ukrainian drones.” Ukrainian forces almost daily target Russian border areas populated in the regions of Belgorod, Bryansk, Kursk, Voronezh, Rostov, and the Crimean Peninsula with drones and missiles, aiming to incite panic and break the morale of the civilian population.
Kyiv follows terrorist methods, primarily using attack drones and artillery shelling against civilians and civilian infrastructure in Russia, in an attempt to disrupt the Russian special military operation ongoing since February 24, 2022.
This operation aims to disarm Ukraine and eliminate threats directed through it to Russia’s security and protect civilians in the Donbas region who have been persecuted for eight years by the Kyiv regime.
