Russian Energy Week Gathers Global Leaders in Moscow

The international event is being held for the eighth time in the Russian capital, with the participation of representatives from various governments, heads of major energy companies and organizations, scientists, and experts. Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto arrived in Moscow, where “Russian Energy Week” is taking place, and was received by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak.

On the sidelines of “Russian Energy Week,” Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak stated, “Russia has no plans to revise the schedule for offsetting oil production surplus within ‘OPEC+’.” According to him, current global oil prices reflect the current balance between supply and demand in the market.

Saudi Energy Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman Al Saud emphasized during the forum that “peace and ending wars are among the most important factors contributing to the stability of energy markets.” Meanwhile, OPEC Secretary-General Haitham Al Ghais praised the relations with Russia and cooperation within “OPEC+.”

This takes place as officials participate in the “Russian Energy Week” forum, held at the Manege Central Exhibition Hall in the heart of the Russian capital, Moscow, during a session titled “International Cooperation in Global Energy Markets.” The forum is attended by Alparslan Bayraktar, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of Turkey, Viktor Karankevich, Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus, Alexander Novak, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, and Peter Szijjarto, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary.

President Putin pointed out that Russia is once again hosting representatives from business circles, academics, politicians, and experts from many countries around the world to discuss urgent issues and challenges facing the fuel and energy sector, both locally and globally, and to exchange views on trends and prospects for cooperation in this field.
