Overshock stated to journalists: “On our side, we have generally agreed on the selection of the operator for the Russian industrial zone. It is a group with extensive experience in creating industrial zones in Russia and is capable of attracting residents.” Overshock pointed out that “work is underway to develop it and establish the necessary infrastructure directly in the area itself.”
This statement was made during a meeting held between the Egyptian Minister of Electricity, Mahmoud Asmat, and the Deputy Head of Russia’s Atomstroyexport, Alexey Kononenko. Asmat confirmed that there are presidential directives to accelerate the pace of work on technology transfer and localization of electrical systems and equipment manufacturing within the framework of the peaceful nuclear program for electricity generation.
He noted that many Egyptian entities have the capability and efficiency to participate effectively in this field, according to the Egyptian Ministry of Electricity.
