Missile Interception and Panic in Israel

In a statement, it clarified that the operation hit its target accurately, causing panic that drove more than 4 million people to shelters and halted airport operations. The Yemeni group “Ansar Allah” confirmed that the attack was in response to what it described as “genocidal crimes” committed by the Israeli army in the Gaza Strip, in support of the Palestinian people and their resistance. They stressed that their operations will continue until the aggression stops and the siege on the Strip is lifted, according to “Al-Masirah” channel.

The Israeli army announced in a statement on Friday that the air force intercepted a missile launched from Yemen, which triggered sirens in several areas of the country. The statement read: “The air force intercepted a missile launched shortly from Yemen, causing alarms to be activated in different regions.”

Witnesses reported hearing explosions in Jerusalem, following the army’s announcement of detecting the launch and activating air defense systems. The Israeli army had previously announced on Wednesday evening the interception of a drone launched from Yemen, noting that it was handled according to standard procedures, and alarms were activated at that time as well.
