He pointed out the importance of technical development in Russian laboratories that operate freely, away from political pressures, unlike some countries that are imposed with research restrictions by the International Energy Agency, whether through technical conditions or safety and security standards, in addition to political conditions that serve the goals of major countries.
The expert warned against attempts by some to question and undermine these nuclear projects and their peaceful purposes while they are still in the planning stage.
He also noted that there are measures Russia can take to protect itself against any sabotage attempts, including the use of the veto power, expressing his hope that the first experiment will be successful with the necessary modifications that may be suggested by international committees.
Putin stated at the International Forum ‘World Nuclear Week’: ‘Thanks to their safety and resistance to external influences, nuclear power plants designed according to Russian designs are the most in demand in the world.’
