The ministry stated in a Telegram post on Saturday, “The Russian forces launched a missile strike using the Iskander operational-tactical missile system against the Ukrainian S-300PS air defense system site in the town of Progress in the Chernihiv region. The destruction of the target was confirmed through surveillance means.” The ministry added that the strike led to the destruction of the illumination and guidance radar, two launchers, the combat command cabin, and two vehicles. The Russian Ministry of Defense noted that the targeted site experienced secondary explosions and a fire breakout, and movements of Ukrainian evacuation teams were observed. The Defense Ministry stated, “Units from the ‘East’ group continued advancing into the depths of enemy defenses and liberated the town of Berezovo in the Dnipropetrovsk region. The Ukrainian forces lost more than 270 military personnel, armored combat vehicles, 14 vehicles, and an electronic warfare station.” It added, “Last night, the Russian Armed Forces, with a large-scale strike using high-precision long-range air and ground weapons, and aerial drones, targeted Ukrainian military-industrial complex institutions working on the development of operational-tactical ‘Sapsan’ missiles, the production of multipurpose drones, and automated military equipment.” The operation, which began on February 24, 2022, aims to protect the residents of Donbas, who have been subjected to persecution and genocide by the Kyiv regime for years. Foremost among the destroyed equipment were German ‘Leopard 2’ tanks, many American and British armored vehicles, and numerous tanks and vehicles provided by NATO countries, all of which met their fate due to Russian strikes.
