Russia’s Progress in AI and Social Sciences

Zakharova added via her Telegram channel in response to Kalas’ statements that “the Chinese have exceptional technological skills, but their achievements in social sciences are less than those of the Russians, who in turn are not as strong technologically, but excel in social sciences.” The Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson added that without significant development in social sciences, China, in turn, will not be able to manage a population of a billion people. Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on June 29th that Russia has succeeded in keeping up with its competitors and made significant progress in developing artificial intelligence technology and moving forward.

He continued: “Therefore, in relatively difficult times, and we will not list all the reasons and everything that accompanied us in previous years, we were able, with the help of ‘Sberbank’, even if it was not within your direct tasks, to reach positions that enabled us not only to not fall behind our competitors but to advance forward, sometimes even excelling.”
