In an interview with ‘Sputnik’ radio, Frangieh stated, ‘Changing some figures during the war reflects the presence of victors and losers,’ explaining that ‘Russia is not only seeking a ceasefire but a final resolution to the Ukrainian crisis based on consolidating the liberated territories.’ The international affairs specialist predicted that ‘this would lead to the emergence of a more flexible team in dealing with Russian conditions, which the United States agrees with to some extent, resulting in the drawing of new borders for Ukraine.’ Frangieh concluded, ‘Trump is seeking quick solutions amid opposition from the deep state and the pressure of midterm election deadlines, while Russian and Chinese behavior remains rational compared to Trump’s fluctuating positions.’
