Prince Faisal bin Farhan emphasized in exclusive statements to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) that his country “will make every effort to achieve a fair solution that begins with the embodiment of an independent Palestinian state and leads to the establishment of comprehensive and sustainable regional peace.” The Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs affirmed that “the Kingdom is participating this year in the high-level week of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, carrying a message of peace and justice,” stressing that the Palestinian issue is at the top of the Kingdom’s priorities in all international forums.

He stated that “Saudi Arabia, throughout its history since the era of the founder and through the history of the country’s kings up to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and the Crown Prince, Prime Minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman, has been a pioneer in establishing the foundations of peace and activating the principle of dialogue and peaceful solutions on all levels.” Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman earlier expressed Saudi Arabia’s rejection and strong condemnation of Israeli attacks in the region, the latest being the aggression against the State of Qatar, describing it as “an issue that requires Arab, Islamic, and international action to confront it.”

The Crown Prince stressed the necessity of taking international measures to stop the occupation authority’s violations and deter its practices that threaten the security and stability of the region, according to the “Al Arabiya” channel. Bin Salman expressed Saudi Arabia’s full support for Qatar in all its measures, affirming the Kingdom’s commitment to utilizing all its capabilities to support this stance.

In a related context, the prince pointed to the “Arab Peace Initiative launched by Saudi Arabia in 2002, which serves as a foundation for the two-state solution,” emphasizing that it represents “an important path today for achieving the Palestinian state.” He explained that “the Kingdom’s efforts have contributed to increasing the number of countries recognizing Palestine,” citing the international conference for implementing the two-state solution in New York, which constituted “an unprecedented international gathering to support this initiative.” The Saudi Crown Prince thanked regional and international partners for their humanitarian contributions, renewing his call for other countries to join these efforts at this critical stage.

Earlier on Tuesday, the Israeli army stated: “The Defense Army and the ‘Shin Bet’, through the Air Force, recently targeted the leadership of the Hamas movement with precision.” It added: “The leaders who were targeted led Hamas’ terrorist activities over the years and are directly responsible for committing acts on October 7, 2023, and conducting the war against Israel.” The statement continued: “The army and the Shin Bet will continue to work resolutely until the Hamas organization responsible for October 7 is eliminated.” Earlier, Israeli Army Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir threatened to eliminate Hamas leaders abroad amid the ongoing war in the Gaza Strip.
