Majid Al Futtaim Retail has introduced SAVA, a groundbreaking addition to its retail offerings and the UAE’s first native modern discount brand. This launch is a pivotal step in the company’s mission to transform value retail by merging affordability, quality, and convenience into a singular, purpose-driven concept.
With the ethos that “affordability shouldn’t compromise quality,” SAVA is designed to cater to the increasing number of savvy consumers seeking high-quality products at accessible prices. This new brand signifies a strategic shift in the UAE’s retail sector, offering an enhanced discount experience driven by innovation and customer focus.
“SAVA embodies our dedication to delivering significant value to all customer segments,” stated Ahmed Galal Ismail, CEO of Majid Al Futtaim Holding. “It transcends being a mere discount store, presenting a fresh perspective on how value, quality, and purpose can coexist. As a proud Emirati brand, SAVA aligns with our founder’s vision to empower communities and enhance everyday life through sustainable, inclusive growth.”
Separate from Majid Al Futtaim’s flagship Carrefour operations, SAVA offers a streamlined shopping experience centered around curated essentials and locally developed private-label products. More than 90% of its inventory consists of exclusive private-label goods sourced from reliable local and European partners, ensuring constant quality at consistently low prices.
Aimed at complementing the existing Carrefour Express and hypermarket formats, SAVA targets urban shoppers seeking fast, affordable, and high-quality shopping solutions. Its store model emphasizes speed, simplicity, and accessibility, designed for professionals, students, and families alike.
Majid Al Futtaim intends to open 10 SAVA stores across Dubai, Sharjah, Al Ain, and Abu Dhabi by the end of 2025, with plans for further regional expansion. This rollout highlights the company’s commitment to long-term innovation and sustainable retail growth, reinforcing its leadership in shaping the future of value-focused commerce across the region.
