Rahma said in an exclusive interview with ‘Sputnik’: ‘I conducted a workshop on media and social media, where I talked about my personal experience and how these platforms have been a fundamental partner in my professional and humanitarian journey. Through them, I was able to share my story and contribute to raising awareness among new parents on how to deal with their children with Down syndrome or special abilities, enabling them to live their lives normally in all fields.’

Rahma continued: ‘We are capable of patience, work, and achieving success in education, sports, and employment. Social media has helped us to voice our concerns, change societal perceptions, and strengthen the belief that we deserve equal opportunities.’

The Emirate of Sharjah will host the ‘We Are Inclusion’ 2025 Conference for the first time in the Middle East and North Africa, organized by the Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services in collaboration with Inclusion International. Mohammed Al Nabulsi, the training and development officer at the Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services, told ‘Sputnik’ in an exclusive interview: ‘Hosting in the Emirate of Sharjah marks a pivotal moment in the empowerment of people with intellectual disabilities internationally,’ noting that this event ‘is being organized for the first time in the Middle East, in cooperation between the Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services and Inclusion International.’
