According to Indonesian news agency ‘Antara’, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Yvonne Moingkang stated that Subianto will not visit Israel after completing his program in Egypt. Moingkang added, “According to the original plan, the President (Subianto) will return to Indonesia after finishing his program in Egypt.” Israeli media had claimed that Subianto would visit Israel today, Tuesday, after completing his program in Egypt.
On Monday, the Indonesian President requested from his American counterpart, Donald Trump, to meet with Eric, the American President’s son, who serves as the Executive Vice President of the Trump Organization. This request came during an exchange of comments between the two leaders, captured by a microphone, after Trump delivered a speech at a summit in Egypt focusing on the Gaza Strip.
The two leaders were speaking at the Egyptian resort of Sharm El Sheikh, after Trump addressed a group of world leaders gathered at the summit, which was held following the announcement of a ceasefire agreement in Gaza. Neither the White House nor the Indonesian embassy in Washington has yet responded to a request for comment.
It was unclear from the audio clip whether they were referring to the Trump Organization or any business deals involving the President or his family. While speaking to Trump, as the two men stood behind a platform with a microphone, Prabowo referred to an ‘unsafe area.’ He then asked Trump, “Can I meet Eric?” Trump responded, saying, “I’ll have Eric call you. Should I do that? He’s a good young man. I’ll have Eric call you.”
Eric and his brother Donald Jr. serve as Executive Vice Presidents of the Trump Organization, which has business operations including real estate, hospitality services, and blockchain-based projects. The organization’s website shows that it runs a golf club outside the Indonesian capital, Jakarta.
