The medical team explained that the patient arrived at the emergency department suffering from multiple fractures involving the nasal bones, orbital bones, infraorbital rim, zygomatic bone, and the frontozygomatic suture. This led to a loss of the natural symmetry of the face and threatened vision and several vital functions.
The patient underwent a four-hour surgery during which the facial bones were reconstructed using highly stable titanium plates and screws. Precise surgical incisions were made inside the mouth and around the eye and forehead to ensure no external scars, according to Egyptian media.
The management of Dakahliya General Hospital confirmed the success of the operation and the stabilization of the patient’s condition in the internal department, noting that such interventions are considered precise surgeries that require advanced expertise and specialized capabilities.
