Trump said during his speech at the American Business Forum: “You see what is happening in New York, it’s terrible… and I hope it doesn’t happen, but you will see it soon.”
The United States witnessed local elections on Tuesday, which included the positions of governors in New Jersey and Virginia, in addition to the mayoralty of New York City, which Mamdani won in the modern history of the city.
Mamdani adopts a reform program that includes establishing stores to sell food at low prices, freezing rents in some residential areas, and eliminating transport fees on buses.
Trump described his political opponent as a “communist,” threatening to cut federal aid to New York in response to the new local administration’s directions.
