During his speech at the United Nations General Assembly, US President Donald Trump made bold statements as global leaders gathered for the 80th session, with the general debate on September 23 being the primary focus.

Trump called this era “America’s golden age” but criticized the UN for “failing to realize its immense potential.”

He asserted that America boasts the “strongest economy, borders, military, alliances, and spirit of any nation on Earth.”

Amid these strengths, Trump accused the UN of “funding an assault” on the West by promoting mass migration, claiming the organization supported illegal entry into the US.

“The UN supports those illegally entering the United States.” Beyond criticizing its policies, he also mocked the building’s infrastructure.

“The only things I got from the United Nations were an escalator that stopped halfway up and a faulty teleprompter. If the First Lady weren’t in excellent shape, she might have fallen. But she’s fit. We’re both fit. We stood. Thanks to the UN for a bad escalator and a bad teleprompter.”

In his address, Trump also mentioned Palestine and Ukraine.

He urged European allies to stop buying oil from Russia and accused China and India of financing the Ukraine conflict through their purchases.

Regarding Palestine, Trump claimed that recognition of a Palestinian state by Washington’s allies rewarded Hamas for “horrible acts, even as they refuse to release hostages or agree to a ceasefire.”

On a global crisis, Trump called climate change “the greatest scam ever” and labeled carbon footprints “a hoax by people with nefarious intentions, leading to total destruction.”
