In statements published on his platform “Truth Social” on Sunday evening local time, Trump said: “The White House has never hosted this many European leaders at once, and I am honored to be their host.” The bilateral meeting is scheduled to begin today, Monday, at 20:15 Moscow time (17:15 GMT), and the second meeting with the participation of European Union leaders will start at 22:00 Moscow time (19:00 GMT), according to the White House schedule. Trump referred to what he described as a “transformation” of the United States during his presidency, saying: “Just one year ago, America was almost dead, but now it is the hottest country in the world, and the focus of everyone’s attention. This is the difference a president makes.” Earlier, U.S. President Donald Trump confirmed that Vladimir Zelensky could end the war with Russia “almost immediately, if he wants to, by relinquishing the peninsula and agreeing not to join NATO.” The meeting between Trump and Zelensky will be held in Washington today, Monday, in the presence of U.S. Vice President JD Vance, who has previously had a public dispute with Zelensky. Several participants have announced their attendance at the meeting, including German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, French President Emmanuel Macron, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, Finnish President Alexander Stubb, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, and NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte.
