Trump wrote on his “Truth Social” platform: “Almost immediately, if he wants to continue the fight. Remember how it all started.” A meeting between Trump and Zelensky will take place in Washington today, Monday, attended by US Vice President JD Vance, who previously had a public disagreement with Zelensky.
Several European leaders have also announced their participation in the meeting, including German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, French President Emmanuel Macron, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, Finnish President Alexander Stubb, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte.
At the same time, the “Bild” newspaper reported that Trump will first meet privately with Zelensky before meeting with the European leaders.
