Former actress and now author, Twinkle Khanna, returns as the adored Mrs Funnybones.
Ten years after her debut release in 2015, Twinkle Khanna has unveiled a sequel to her acclaimed book ‘Mrs Funnybones’.
On Instagram, she shared the first glimpse of ‘Mrs Funnybones Returns’, expressing her excitement about meeting her fans’ long-standing anticipation.
“At every book event, I’ve been asked about a sequel to Mrs Funnybones. Here it is, at last. A decade of writing about women’s experiences, politics, gurus, current affairs, and laughter. Observing India’s view on women and my reflection back on India,” she shared in her post.
Twinkle teased a new tagline: Mrs Funnybones Returns. She’s older, wider, but is she any wiser?” She also invited readers to share their opinions on her books.
The announcement thrilled fans, who took to the comments to celebrate Mrs Funnybones‘ journey. Even Malaika Arora commented on the post.
Twinkle Khanna left the film industry in 2001 after appearing in several movies. She began her writing career in 2015 with her first book, Mrs Funnybones.
Her subsequent works include a 2017 story collection, The Legend Of Lakshmi Prasad, and another book, Pyjamas Are Forgiving, in 2018.
In 2023, she released Welcome to Paradise and won the Crossword Book Award 2024 in the Popular Fiction category.
Currently, Twinkle hosts ‘Two Much with Kajol and Twinkle’ on Prime Video.
