Expedia’s Fall Travel Outlook reveals that November 11 and 19 are the cheapest days for international flights, while November 24 is the priciest. For travelers seeking less crowded airports and smoother experiences, November 20–22 offers a prime travel window with minimal hustle.
Expedia reports that November is ideal for savings, as the lull between summer and winter holidays lowers both airfare and accommodation costs.
“Fall is perfect for savvy travelers,” said Melanie Fish, head of public relations for Expedia Group Brands. “Airfares drop, and routes are significantly less crowded by the third week of November. This quieter period is a unique chance to explore long-haul destinations like the United States and Canada before the cold sets in.”

UAE tour operators are witnessing increased interest in travel during this time. Libin Varghese, sales head at Rooh Tourism, noted, “There’s strong demand for winter holidays, with residents eager to visit places like Georgia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Eastern Europe. Many families are also interested in long-haul trips to Australia, the Far East, and Canada, especially for experiences like Niagara Falls or winter festivals.”
Varghese added that lower airfares in November and December are key drivers of bookings. “Compared to peak summer rates, November tickets are much more attractive. This trend is continuing into early December, prompting UAE residents to plan winter breaks and capitalize on seasonal savings,” he said.
Expedia also pointed out changing travel preferences among UAE residents. Sun-seekers are choosing island getaways in Koh Samui, Mallorca, and Ibiza, while culture lovers are heading to Copenhagen, Prague, and Osaka. For adventure seekers, Iceland and Niagara Falls remain popular for their breathtaking landscapes and unique views.
Travel experts recommend setting price alerts, selecting hotels with flexible booking options, and bundling flights with accommodations to maximize savings. “With mid-November airfare at its lowest, many UAE travelers find it the perfect time to visit bucket-list destinations affordably,” Varghese advised.
