Moscow – Sputnik. In May, British media reported that the country’s military leadership is discussing the development of its own Iron Dome missile defense system. However, the British government’s Strategic Defense Review, published in June, stated that London is prepared to allocate one billion pounds (1.35 billion dollars).
The report on Monday stated that the British startup Cambridge Aerospace is taking charge of developing the “Sky Hammer” missile defense system. The company intends to showcase the system for the first time at the main DSEI arms exhibition in London this week, according to the report, adding that the company has so far raised 130 million dollars.
In addition to the D3 Fund, the Swiss Lakestar Fund, a Luxembourg fund, and the American Accel Fund are participating in the project.
