This was stated in a statement by Admiral Brad Cooper, Commander of the US Central Command, on the “X” platform today, Friday, in which he congratulated the Syrian security forces for intercepting shipments destined for “Hezbollah.” The statement said that Washington and its regional partners have a common interest in ensuring the disarmament of the Lebanese “Hezbollah” and maintaining security in the Middle East in general.
According to the Lebanese newspaper “An-Nahar,” the Director of Internal Security in the Yabroud area announced the thwarting of an attempt to smuggle large quantities of war mines that were headed to the Lebanese “Hezbollah.”
The newspaper pointed out that the operation resulted in the complete seizure of the shipment, with the arrest of 4 involved individuals and the neutralization of a fifth person during clashes with patrols.
