US Envoy to Discuss Gaza War, Visit Aid Sites

The Israeli channel ‘i24 news’ reported on Wednesday evening that Witkoff will head to Israel late today or early tomorrow to discuss the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip. It noted that the US envoy to the Middle East is expected to meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and is likely to visit the humanitarian aid distribution sites in Gaza belonging to the American ‘Gaza Humanitarian Foundation’ in the sector.

In a related context, the death toll from famine and malnutrition in the Gaza Strip has risen to 154, including 89 children, after recording 7 new deaths in the past 24 hours, according to the Ministry of Health in Gaza.

The ministry stated in a statement on Wednesday: ‘Seven deaths have been recorded in the past 24 hours due to famine and malnutrition.’

Palestinian medical sources indicated that ’21 people were killed by Israeli army fire since Wednesday morning, most of whom were awaiting aid.’

The Gaza Strip is facing one of the worst humanitarian crises, as the residents suffer from severe famine since Israel launched its attack on October 7, 2023.

From October 7, 2023, until this July, the war on Gaza has resulted in the deaths of more than 59,000 Palestinians and about 143,000 injuries, according to data from the Ministry of Health in the sector.
