Reports indicated that the American police temporarily halted the motorcade of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, as well as the motorcade of French President Emmanuel Macron, to allow the passage of former U.S. President Donald Trump’s motorcade in Manhattan.
In a subsequent incident, Erdoğan was forced to stop again at a pedestrian crossing in the city after the police imposed a new road closure to secure Trump’s passage, which forced the Turkish delegation to wait for a few minutes at their location.
