French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot said on the platform “X”: “We just had an important call with my Iranian counterpart regarding the nuclear program and the sanctions we are preparing to re-impose on Iran.” He noted that he was joined on the call by his British and German counterparts, as well as the EU’s chief diplomat, Kaja Kallas. Barrot stated, as Iran announced that its diplomats would meet with their counterparts from Britain, France, and Germany: “Time is running out, a new meeting will be held next week on this issue.” This comes after Iran announced today, Friday, its agreement with France, Britain, Germany, and the European Union to resume talks on Tuesday, August 26, at the level of deputy foreign ministers.
