A well-informed diplomatic source mentioned that Egypt and Qatar have presented the White House’s plan to end the war in Gaza to the Hamas negotiating delegation. Hamas’ delegation promised the mediators to study the proposal responsibly, according to Al Jazeera.
A leader, who declined to be named, told Sputnik: “This brings nothing new; once again, they portray Gaza as if it will become the Switzerland of the East.” He continued, “Disarming the resistance is impossible no matter the cost, and there are also constants that our people in the Gaza Strip will not give up.”
Earlier on Monday, the White House issued a document to end the conflict in the Gaza Strip. According to the document’s title, “President Donald Trump’s Comprehensive Plan to End the Conflict in Gaza,” Gaza will be “a region free of extremism and terrorism, posing no threat to its neighbors.”
