Kantara‘s star, Rishab Shetty, is preparing for the launch of Kantara: Chapter 1 and has shared his journey of improving his Hindi during media interactions in Mumbai.
Shetty expressed his desire to better connect with Indian audiences and spoke about balancing his Kannada pride with his passion for learning new languages. He mentioned that learning and speaking new languages brings him “joy” and he puts in effort, even with those he doesn’t yet master.
Discussing his enhanced Hindi skills, Shetty said, “Though I think in Kannada, conducting numerous interviews has helped me develop my Hindi. I am enthusiastic about learning different languages and feel it’s important to respect local languages when visiting new places.”
“India is a land of diverse languages, lifestyles, and beliefs, yet the essence remains the same. I always strive to learn languages I am unfamiliar with,” Shetty commented in Hindi.
The trailer for ‘Kantara: Chapter 1‘ debuted earlier this month.
Written and directed by Shetty, the film will release on October 2 in Kannada, Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, Tamil, Bengali, and English.
