Abu Dhabi witnessed the signing of a significant agreement, marking the inception of Wisemen Middle East. This groundbreaking joint venture unites Abu Dhabi’s Platinum Group, Wiseman HK New Energy—a global leader in energy technology—and UAE’s tech innovator, Upwards Solutions Technology. Wisemen Middle East aims to dominate the MENA region’s fast-evolving energy sector by focusing on sustainable energy and smart city tech. The agreement was signed by Dr. Hanai Atatreh, Managing Director of Platinum Group, Abdullah Lei Shen, CEO of Upwards, and Ms. Li Feng, Chairwoman of Wiseman HK, with Dr. Ali Naser Yabhouni Aldhaheri, CEO of Platinum Group, present.

The ceremony culminated months of strategic planning and collaboration. Based in Abu Dhabi, Wisemen Middle East will capitalize on the UAE’s strategic location, solid infrastructure, and commitment to sustainability, aligning with the UAE Net Zero by 2050 initiative. The venture will integrate advanced hardware and intelligent software to offer turnkey solutions for energy storage, smart grid modernization, EV infrastructure, and AI-powered energy management. Additionally, it will locally produce hardware to meet regional demands.

The partnership leverages the distinct strengths of each entity. Platinum Group brings regional expertise, extensive market access, and a successful track record in large-scale GCC projects. Wiseman HK contributes world-class R&D and manufacturing in high-performance EV charging and energy storage technology. Upwards Solutions offers proprietary AI and IoT platforms, optimizing energy distribution, consumption, and storage across projects, and providing the expertise needed for national project execution.

Dr. Ali Naser Yabhouni Aldhaheri, CEO of Platinum Group, stated, “Today is a milestone for Platinum Group and the region’s sustainable future. By founding Wisemen Middle East in Abu Dhabi, we anchor this initiative locally, responding to our leadership’s vision for economic diversification and environmental stewardship. We’re investing in a cleaner, smarter, and more resilient energy infrastructure for future generations, creating an unparalleled innovation powerhouse with Wiseman HK and Upwards Solutions.”

Operations for Wisemen Middle East will begin immediately. The initial phase includes developing regional super-fast chargers with intelligent management. Future projects will feature smart grid pilots in major GCC urban centers and a comprehensive EV fast-charging network supported by solar and robotics solutions.

Feng Li, Chairwoman of Wiseman HK New Energy, highlighted the venture’s technological potential: “The MENA region is a dynamic market for new energy solutions. We’ve found ideal partners in Platinum Group and Upwards Solutions to align with our quality and innovation commitment. Our advanced battery and energy storage designs suit high-temperature, long-duration applications, perfect for the region’s energy transition needs.”

The focus on AI and data analytics is a key differentiator. Upwards Solutions Technology’s AI platform will enable predictive maintenance, real-time grid load balancing, and dynamic energy trading, enhancing efficiency and economic viability. This data-driven approach provides utilities and large energy consumers with unprecedented control and insight into their energy usage.

“Energy hardware is only as effective as the software controlling it,” said Abdullah Lei Shen, CEO of Upwards Solutions Technology. “Our role in Wisemen Middle East is to provide the digital brain that maximizes these assets’ potential. Our AI algorithms optimize every electron, ensuring reliability, cost reduction, and lower carbon footprints. We’re excited to partner with industry leaders to create an integrated, intelligent energy ecosystem in the Middle East.”

Wisemen Middle East is expected to create highly skilled jobs in Abu Dhabi in engineering, data science, and project management. The venture plans to establish a local R&D hub to adapt technologies for the region’s unique climate and market conditions, reinforcing Abu Dhabi’s status as a global clean energy innovation center.
