The authorities in Abu Dhabi have closed down a butchery due to ongoing food safety violations that posed a threat to public health.

On Monday, the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (Adafsa) announced the administrative closure of Boha Butchery-LLC, located in Zayed Port.

This decision was made after the establishment breached Law No. (2) of 2008 concerning food safety in Abu Dhabi and its related regulations.

“Their practices present a serious risk to public health,” Adafsa stated. The butchery’s failure to adopt effective corrective actions led to this swift intervention to protect food safety and consumer health.

Adafsa regularly inspects dining establishments and restaurants in the UAE capital.
