The spokesperson for the Ansar Allah group, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, stated in a statement on Wednesday evening that their military forces attacked Ben Gurion Airport in Israel with a hypersonic missile called ‘Palestine 2’. Yahya Saree emphasized that the Yemeni attacks are in support of the fighters and as a protest against the genocide and starvation crimes committed by the Zionist enemy against the brothers in the Gaza Strip.
Saree also mentioned in his statement that the operation achieved its targets accurately and resulted in panic among the Zionist settlers who fled to shelters, leading to a complete suspension of airport operations. He considered the operation a victory for the oppressed Palestinian people and their fighters and a response to the Zionist genocide and starvation crimes against our brothers in the Gaza Strip.
The Ansar Allah attack comes days after the group’s announcement, the previous Sunday, of targeting Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv with the hypersonic ‘Palestine 2’, following an Israeli bombing of the Hazziz station south of Sanaa (central Yemen), which led to it being out of service and causing a power outage in large areas of the city.
Since the outbreak of the Gaza war in October 2023, Ansar Allah has been carrying out missile and drone attacks on Israel and on ships linked to it or to the United States and its allies in the Red Sea, emphasizing that they are in support of Gaza and asserting that they will continue until Israel stops the war.
