Recent tensions in the Israel-Hamas conflict have sparked widespread condemnation of Israel’s actions and prompted a series of diplomatic meetings and presidential visits throughout the Arab world.

An emergency Arab-Islamic summit convened in Doha on Monday following an Israeli strike on Hamas members in Qatar.

The joint session between the Arab League and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, uniting nearly 60 countries, aimed to take decisive action in response to the attack.

The summit’s joint statement called on “all states to undertake all possible legal and effective measures to prevent Israel from continuing its actions against the Palestinian people,” which includes “reviewing diplomatic and economic relations, and pursuing legal actions against Israel.”

The statement further encouraged member states to “cooperate in efforts to suspend Israel’s membership in the United Nations.”

Countries present, such as the UAE, Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, and Morocco, which recognize Israel, were in attendance alongside Qatar.

Dr. Anwar Gargash, diplomatic advisor to UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, reaffirmed the UAE’s solidarity with Qatar on Tuesday. He noted that the ties between the two Gulf nations arise from “the shared destiny uniting Gulf Arab states across decades and crises.” He stated that Israel’s “treacherous” actions only strengthen Arab unity.

“The law of the jungle will not dictate international conduct,” he added.

The following day, the advisor elaborated on how Israel’s actions have destabilized the region, causing extensive consequences. On X, he mentioned that “Israeli wars, militia adventures, and regional crises have reshaped the political landscape over two violent years.”

He described the situation as a “geopolitical earthquake” with ongoing humanitarian impacts, all while “the absence of a comprehensive Arab project for stability that upholds sovereignty, dignity, and the future persists.”

“It suggests that each party should focus only on its own destiny,” he concluded.
