In response to the strong interest from artists and designers all over the UAE, Emaar, the master developer, announced on Tuesday that the Burj Khalifa Facade Show Design Competition deadline has been extended.
The new deadline for submissions is June 26, with the winner to be revealed on July 14, Emaar stated.
Emaar initially launched the competition on May 6, inviting UAE residents to create a projection for the Burj Khalifa, which will be showcased on the world’s tallest building. Entries started on May 6, with the original deadline set for May 26.

The winning design will be displayed on the Burj Khalifa facade, and the winner will receive a grand prize of Dh100,000.
“Due to the enormous interest in the Burj Khalifa Competition, we are extending the deadline to allow more talents to participate. You now have until June 26, 2025, to submit your artwork for a chance to win Dh100,000,” Emaar shared in a post on X.
Submission requirements
Entrants must submit a 3-minute audiovisual video in MP4 format for preview and a high-resolution MOV version for the final display. The project should feature royalty-free music and original visuals that reflect the UAE’s cultural values.
In November 2024, Emaar announced the completion of a groundbreaking façade lighting upgrade for Burj Khalifa, which debuted during the UAE’s Eid Al Etihad celebrations on December 1, 2024, setting the stage for Burj Khalifa’s 15th anniversary on January 4, 2025.
