Footage showing a US-made M113 armored personnel carrier heading to the battlefield, raising the flags of the Russian Federation and the United States, has spread on social media. This was reported around the town of Malaya Tokmachka in the Zaporozhye region. The French television channel TF1 accused the Russian channel RT of faking the video of the American armored personnel carrier using artificial intelligence.
The French TV channel, on its website, noted several ‘oddities, a kind of image manipulation and the use of a neural network to modify the original frames,’ claiming that ‘special software’ was used to analyze the video.
RT reported that the artificial intelligence application ‘Groq’ confirmed the authenticity of the video, which was taken of the armored vehicle engaging in a battle towards Zaporozhye, raising the flags of the Russian Federation and the United States. Former US ambassador to Russia, Michael McFaul, commented on the video with a single word: ‘Wow.’
