The ministry mentioned in its statement that the Minister of Industry, Morten Bødskov, symbolically laid the foundation stone in the city of Vojens, with the participation of Haderslev’s Mayor Mads Skau and the new director of “Fire Point,” Vyacheslav Bondarchuk. According to Denmark’s DR channel, the facility will be named “FPRT.” Bondarchuk stated that the fuel produced at the plant will be used in missiles and drones operating on the Ukrainian front. He assured that the plant poses no danger to the local population.
On September 9, the Danish parliament passed a law that allows the Minister of Defense to expedite the construction of military facilities by bypassing laws and requirements that might hinder project implementation. According to reports, 22 laws and regulations will be bypassed to build the new “Fire Point” plant.
