Parents in Dubai can now benefit from tailored advice and expert support to make informed decisions about their children’s education, thanks to a new service introduced by the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA).
This service offers personalized consultations with KHDA’s dedicated education experts, helping parents select schools that align with their family’s values, priorities, and practical considerations like curriculum, location, fees, and learning requirements.
The new service, named Girnas Educational Advisor, was unveiled at the inaugural Education Expo series organized by KHDA, which commenced on Friday (November 7) and runs until Sunday (November 9). The two-day event features over 60 private schools and early childhood centers, highlighting Dubai’s diverse educational landscape.

Supporting Parents in Decision-Making
The first day saw nearly 400 Emirati parents exploring private school options from early childhood to secondary education. They discovered admissions processes, diverse curricula, and interacted with school leaders and education specialists.
“Our Education 33 Strategy is designed to empower parents to play an active and meaningful role in their children’s education. By fostering a more connected and engaged learning community, we aim to ensure that every student receives support at all educational stages. This aligns with our leadership’s vision, which believes in people, empowers the youth, invests in their potential, and continues to create an inspiring environment for creativity, opportunity, and lifelong learning,” stated Aisha Miran, Director General of KHDA.

“Uniting schools, early childhood centers, and Emirati families at Education Expo 2025, along with the Girnas Educational Advisor launch, represents a significant step toward enhancing the partnership between families and education providers.
“These initiatives assist parents in making confident, informed choices about their children’s best schools and curricula, ensuring that every learner in Dubai accesses high-quality education,” she added.
Accessing Girnas
Girnas is accessible via KHDA’s website and mobile app. Parents can utilize an AI-powered chat assistant to inquire about different curricula and admissions requirements in Dubai private schools.
Emirati families enrolling their children in a Dubai private school for the first time can also request a personal consultation — either in person or online — with a KHDA expert.
To use the service, parents can log into the KHDA parent portal through UAE Pass, fill out a brief questionnaire about their preferences and priorities, and explore school options using smart filters. The AI chat assistant provides immediate guidance, while one-on-one consultations offer tailored support for families navigating school choices.
The objective is to ensure that every Emirati child starts their educational journey in an environment that best suits their potential, needs, and family expectations.
The service is part of the Education 33 strategy’s Pathway Partners initiative, focused on equipping parents with the tools, services, and support necessary for making informed decisions and staying actively involved in their children’s learning journey.
“The Dubai Education Advisor service provides families with access to trusted, unbiased advice from KHDA experts, helping them make confident and informed decisions about the best schools and learning pathways for their children, from early childhood onwards,” said Dr. Amna Almaazmi, CEO of Growth and Human Development at KHDA.
“This new service demonstrates our ongoing commitment to supporting Emirati families at every stage of their educational journey, and Education Expo 2025 is one of many initiatives bringing parents, schools, and the wider community together to strengthen these partnerships.”
