Homeowners in Dubai now enjoy a seamless and secure method for paying community service charges via the UAE Central Bank’s Direct Debit System (UAEDDS), designed to streamline and automate recurring payments across the nation.

In collaboration with the Direct Debit Service, which operates under the UAE Central Bank’s guidelines, Itihad Community Management now allows homeowners to make secure recurring payments directly from their bank accounts, with the flexibility of using credit or debit cards.

Since its introduction, over Dh1 million has been processed through Direct Debit Mandates, showcasing strong homeowner confidence and proving the system’s effectiveness in the property management industry.

“Our partnership with Itihad Community Management and the adoption of the paperless Direct Debit System marks a major advancement for Dubai’s real estate sector. It enhances payment security and homeowner convenience, while advancing us towards a fully digital, transparent, and globally competitive financial and real estate ecosystem,” said Ummair Butt, group CEO, Direct Debit Systems FZ LLC.

This progress supports several important UAE and Dubai strategies, including:

● UAE Digital Government Strategy 2025 – promoting secure, high-quality digital services.

● Dubai Paperless Strategy – reducing dependency on physical documents.

● We the UAE 2031 – improving convenience and quality of life through smart services.

● Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan – fostering tech-integrated, sustainable communities.
“This initiative shows how Direct Debit adoption can revolutionize community service charge collection. By integrating the UAE Central Bank’s Direct Debit System and offering card payment options, Itihad Community Management has removed the need for cheques and paperwork, making payments simple, secure, and hassle-free for homeowners, while supporting Dubai’s vision of a fully digital, paperless economy,” said Waqar Hasan, CEO, Itihad Community Management.

This effort elevates the standards of service charge collection, aligning with Dubai’s smart city goals and the UAE’s broader digital transformation objectives.
