During his meeting with several journalists accredited by the ministry inside the military production pavilion at the International Defense Industries Exhibition “EDEX 2025”, he added that the ministry has demonstrated its ability to face global challenges through the localization of local production, development of production lines, and training of human resources, while continuing its role as a fundamental pillar of military manufacturing in Egypt.
The minister explained that during the preparation period for the exhibition, the ministry was keen to invite international companies and institutions specializing in defense industries to cooperate and open new horizons for partnerships with military production companies. This reflects Egypt’s approach to openness to international cooperation in the fields of armament, according to a statement from the Egyptian Ministry of Military Production, of which “Sputnik” obtained a copy.
The statement added: “The ministry’s pavilion at the “EDEX 2025” exhibition showcased several new military products, including the tracked guided missile launcher “Reda 300” with multiple calibers and a range of up to 300 km, the “Sina 806″ repair and rescue vehicle designed to secure armored vehicles, and a light vehicle equipped with a 23 mm twin anti-aircraft gun. Additionally, there is the development of armored steel used in tanks and combat armored vehicles, increasing its thickness and width.”
He continued, “The exhibition also included a scaled model of the 155 mm 52-caliber howitzer system (K9 A1 EGY), as the ministry is currently working on setting up a production line for the system within its factories, with the local manufacture of its ammunition and the development of the “Raad 200″ rocket launcher to improve its control system from electric to hydraulic.”
