Since the launch of the UAE’s first individual Credit Report in September 2014, the Etihad Credit Bureau (formerly AECB) has significantly expanded its capabilities. Initially producing 1 million credit reports in its first year, it now generates over 15 million credit reports and scores annually. This growth highlights the rising demand for insights from the National Credit Registry, a vital element of the UAE’s economic framework.
Recently, the Bureau celebrated a decade of credit reporting in the nation. To commemorate this milestone, the UAE Central Bank issued a limited-edition Dh10 coin, made of silver. These coins symbolize the Bureau’s contributions to the community and its evolving role in shaping the future of financial insights.
Reflecting the Bureau’s new brand identity, the coin’s design signifies the shift from its impactful first decade to a future-focused era of financial partnership, rooted in trust, innovation, and inclusivity. Each coin is encased to prevent tarnishing, presented in a sustainably sourced leather box. When tapped with a smartphone, an NFC chip reveals a personal appreciation message, along with a microsite and video showcasing the Bureau’s achievements.
