Before the registration deadline on October 9, 2025, around 72,000 individuals applied for the Hajj package through the authority’s app and website, as announced by the General Authority for Islamic Affairs and Endowments and Zakat on Tuesday.
The UAE’s allocated quota for the 2026 Hajj season is set at 6,228 pilgrims, as determined by Saudi Arabia’s Hajj authorities.
The authority has started reviewing and approving initial applications, ensuring compliance with necessary conditions. The selection process will adhere to Cabinet Resolution No. (32) of 2018 concerning the Hajj and Umrah system.
Applicants who receive preliminary approval will be notified via their registered phone numbers, and they are encouraged to follow the specified timelines to complete essential procedures, ensuring the issuance of Hajj permits within approved deadlines.
The authority is dedicated to facilitating all processes related to UAE pilgrims well in advance of the season, allowing ample time for pilgrims and service authorities to provide feedback and suggestions on requirements, all in line with high standards and established agreements.
