The plane was en route from London Luton Airport to Alicante in southern Spain when a man, who was extremely intoxicated, caused panic and chaos among passengers. He attempted to open the emergency door mid-flight, amidst the passengers’ screams and the crew’s attempts to control the situation. According to security sources, the alcohol level in the accused’s blood was so high that he had to be taken to a border police cell at the French airport to regain consciousness. French authorities confirmed that the plane resumed its journey to Alicante after the troublemakers were removed, commending the crew’s professionalism in handling the dangerous situation, especially in protecting children and passengers from potential danger.
In an official statement, Ryanair emphasized its commitment to a “zero-tolerance” policy towards unruly passenger behavior, affirming that all possible measures are taken to ensure flight safety. European aviation experts are calling for stricter restrictions on alcohol sales at airports, in addition to creating blacklists for passengers who repeatedly cause problems.
It is noted that French law imposes a prison sentence of up to 5 years and a fine of about 60,000 pounds for endangering flight safety, while in the United Kingdom, the penalty for being intoxicated during flights can result in up to 2 years in prison and a fine of up to 4,000 pounds.
