In response to a question about the existence of a decision on this matter, Araqchi explained that the documentation is divided into a legal aspect, which allows for the filing of complaints to international organizations regarding damages. This task is undertaken by the Office of the Vice Presidency for Legal Affairs, with contributions from the legal department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

He pointed out that the goal is to complete the documentation process accurately and comprehensively, noting that the second part involves historical documentation by formulating a clear narrative about the war. He assigned one of the ministry officials to this task to gather, write, and publish the narrative at the appropriate time, according to Iranian news agency “IRNA.”

Regarding the role of Iranian cinema in depicting war events, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi emphasized its importance in conveying narratives to the world, asserting that “films can sometimes express as much as books that chronicle long years do.”

On June 13, Israel launched surprise airstrikes in an operation called “Rising Lion,” targeting military sites and nuclear facilities in Iran, most notably the main uranium enrichment facility “Natanz.” Iran responded with missile strikes against Israel in a military operation named “True Promise 3,” during which dozens of military sites and airbases in Israel were targeted, asserting that the operation would continue as long as necessary.

Israel justified its attacks by claiming that Iran had reached a “point of no return” in uranium enrichment and was nearing the acquisition of a nuclear weapon, a claim Tehran denies, insisting that its nuclear activities are solely for peaceful purposes. A few days later, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard announced a response to the United States by striking the American “Al-Udeid” base in Qatar.
