The UAE, a vibrant cultural hub, has long inspired individuals to drive change, and Lachlan Robinson, an Australian racing driver in Dubai since infancy, is a standout among the young influencers here.

A talented competitor with Porsche’s championship-winning W&S team in the ADAC GT4 Germany Championship, Robinson is an enthusiastic supporter of green initiatives.

Through his #DrivenToZero project, in partnership with Evertreen—a leader in eco-friendly practices—Robinson commits to planting one tree for every 75 kilometers he races.

“DrivenToZero was created to offset my travel and racing footprint, as motorsport is not inherently sustainable. I’m working to make it greener,” Robinson said to the Khaleej Times.

For each journey from the local airport to the racetrack, he plants a tree, and six trees for every round trip from the UAE to Germany.

“We’ve planted 1,000 trees in Madagascar and Indonesia, which is roughly equivalent to 21,000 kilos of CO₂,” he shared.

“This season, the goal is to plant 70 more trees beyond the 1,000 already planted to foster change. I hope this inspires others to contribute.”

A five-time UAE Karting champion, Robinson aims to make his mark on the racing scene and lead motorsport sustainability efforts.

“Inspired by the UAE, where my racing journey began, I admire its sporting culture and sustainable initiatives,” said Robinson, who recently celebrated his first ADAC GT4 podium at Norisring.

“The UAE’s hosting of events like COP28 and its green projects motivate me to responsibly use my motorsport platform to make an impact. By planting trees, I hope to inspire others to care for our world.”
