Saturday night in London witnessed a standout fashion moment on the Deadline World Tour stage: Lisa graced the event in a custom Labubu-inspired outfit, transforming into the beloved mischievous doll adored globally.

Under the creative direction of Brett Alan Nelson, Lisa’s bold ensemble was a complete pink look featuring a fuzzy miniskirt paired with a crop top with padded shoulders, a corseted bustier, and towering furry pink boots. Adding a playful touch, she adorned her waist with a customized pink Labubu doll by Marko Monroe and at one point playfully wore a Labubu mask.

Lisa and the Labubu Phenomenon

Lisa’s transformation wasn’t just for the stage. As a BLACKPINK star, she’s a devoted fan of Labubu from Pop Mart’s collectible toy line. In July, she was seen with a Louis Vuitton “Nano Speedy” purse decorated with two Labubu charms, paired with a glittering Diesel dress.

Her passion for Pop Mart collectibles is no secret. “My Thai friends introduced me to a bunch of stuff, and once I got them, I went nuts. I spent all my money,” Lisa shared with Vanity Fair last year. “I visit Pop Mart everywhere—New York, Miami, Paris. It’s like a treasure hunt.”

Kasing Lung, a Hong Kong artist, first created Labubu for his children’s book series The Monsters. In 2019, he partnered with Pop Mart to release these characters as collectible toys, often sold in “blind boxes” with random styles or colors. What began as a niche collaboration became a global sensation.

Earlier this year in the UAE, Labubu mania expanded beyond toys into food and merchandise, captivating audiences with its spiky hair, wide eyes, and mischievous smile.

Celebrities have embraced the Labubu trend. Dua Lipa sported Labubu bag charms in late 2024, and Rihanna, Kim Kardashian, and David Beckham have also been seen with the collectibles. But it’s Lisa who has elevated the fandom, embodying Labubu on stage.
