The Saudi club announced this and posted a video on its official “X” page on Sunday, stating that it captures the behind-the-scenes of signing the contract with the new player. Under the new deal, Martinez joins Al-Nassr Saudi Club until 2026, making him one of the team’s most prominent signings in this summer’s transfer market.
It is noted that Martinez played 46 matches last season under coach Hansi Flick, and also played with former Barcelona coach Xavi Hernandez. Among Martinez’s major achievements is his former team Barcelona’s local titles during last season and his contribution to the team’s qualification to the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League.
The Martinez deal has become Al-Nassr Saudi Club’s fourth signing during the current summer transfer window, following Joao Felix and the local duo Abdulmalik Al-Jaber and Nader Al-Sharari.
