Malaysia’s transport ministry announced on Wednesday that the search for the missing Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 will resume on December 30, over a decade after the flight vanished en route to Beijing, marking one of aviation’s greatest mysteries.
The Boeing 777 aircraft, Flight MH370, disappeared in 2014 while flying from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing with 227 passengers and 12 crew members. The latest search attempt in the southern Indian Ocean was halted in April this year due to adverse weather.
Ocean Infinity has confirmed plans to restart the seabed search operations for 55 days, which will occur intermittently, according to a statement from Malaysia’s transport ministry on Wednesday.
