Liverpool Football Club published a new tweet on its official account on the ‘X’ platform this Sunday morning, celebrating the Egyptian star after he became the first player in the history of the Premier League to score 10 goals in opening round matches.
The ‘Reds’ achieved an exciting 4-2 victory over their traditional rival Bournemouth, in the match held last Friday evening at ‘Anfield’ as part of the first round of the new 2025-2026 season.
The captain of the Egyptian national team, Mohamed Salah, managed to score Liverpool’s fourth goal in the fourth minute of stoppage time, securing the win for the ‘Reds’.
Despite the victory, Salah was affected by the chants of Liverpool fans mentioning his late teammate Diogo Jota, who passed away with his brother in a tragic car accident in Spain. Salah celebrated his goal with a special gesture in tribute to Jota, adding an emotional touch to the match.
It is worth noting that Salah is considered one of the most prominent stars in the history of the Premier League and continues to set new records with each season.
